Cetiscotherium gigantae, also known as the giant marine crocoracoon. With a lenght of six meters it is quite large for a crocoracoon [link]
(the record is 7.5 meters for a freshwater species). The convergence with chevrotian-whales is stunning and it is not surprising to hear that this predator is, just like most marine crocoracoons, specialised in catching fast and small chevrotian-dolphins, but also has an appetite for other prey, such as sharks of young individuals of big fish.
The marine crocoracoon lives some 131 million years in the future, in the Early-Palalom, around the waters of the westcoast of North-America. It shares its habitat with an extraordinary fauna that includes lots of chevrotain-dolphins [link]
, which can serve as prey, but can also pose a danger to the crocoracoon himself [link]
. Next to this rich mammalian marine fauna, there are also some notable fish to be found, amongst which are the mammal-shark [link]
(not the crocodile-mahi) and fast predators such as the tuna-salmon [link]
and the hunter-salmon [link]
